Comments: Pokémon Sword & Shield News!
I'd like to start this post off by saying I'm very sorry it's so late.
New Pokémon have been revealed! New features! New info!
We haven't gotten any info on the evolutions of the starter Pokémon, hopefully we'll see them soon!
A few new Pokémon of the Galar Region have been revealed!
Gossifleur and Eldegoss
Grass-type Flowering Pokémon and Cotton Bloom Pokémon.
"Gossifleur travels over long distances by getting blown along by the wind. It controls the direction of its travels by twisting its body and petals."
"When Gossifleur evolves into Eldegoss, its head becomes covered in thick cotton fluff. This cotton fluff serves as a cushion, helping to protect Eldegoss’s head from damage."
Wooloo
Normal-type Sheep Pokémon.
"Wooloo live as a herd and mimic the actions of their Trainer or herd leader. They dislike conflict, and if they need to escape from enemies, they will simply roll away."
Corviknight
Flying/Steel-type Raven Pokémon.
"Corviknight possess superb flying skills and high intelligence. Because of this, many of them work for the company called Galar Taxi, helping transport people from town to town."
Drednaw
Water/Rock-type Bite Pokémon.
"Drednaw is known to be extremely vicious, and it takes a skilled Trainer to tame and handle this Pokémon. It seems that some Trainers will release Drednaw back into the wild once they discover they can’t handle it."
The Legendary Pokémon Zacian and Zamazenta!
"Zacian attacks so gracefully that its movements can even captivate its opponents. It holds what appears to be a sword in its mouth."
"Zamazenta’s regal and majestic movements overwhelm any opponents that dare face it. Its body is covered in what seems to be a shield."
This massive area of Galar is where most of your adventure will be spent, traveling throughout it during your journey! Wild Pokémon will be seen in the overworld, and the camera is freely controllable for the first time in a main-line Pokémon game. Depending on the time of the day, and the weather in the Wild Area, different Pokémon will appear!
A new feature called Dynamaxing is being introduced in Pokémon Sword and Shield, letting your Pokémon grow to extreme sizes, increasing its strength by a large margin!
Once per battle, using your D-Band, you can Dynamax one of your Pokémon! For the next 3 turns, their size will increase dramatically, and each of their moves will become super-powerful Max moves! Strategic thinking is important when deciding to Dynamax your Pokémon! Use it wisely!
While in the Wild Area, you'll notice red beacons all around, these are Max Raid Battle sites. You and 3 friends(local or online) will fight a gigantic Dynamaxed Pokémon. This Pokémon will be Dynamaxed for the entirety of the battle, it is not subject to the 3 turn rule. One person in the raid may Dynamax their Pokémon, giving them a better chance of beating the raid! Once defeated you will get the chance to capture the Pokémon! It is unclear if each person can catch it, or only one. My gut is telling me it's only one person who can capture the raid Pokémon.
I am working on things! I promise you this! Life just got in the way!
